Crime Stoppers and Halifax District RCMP are asking for the public’s help with solving theft’s from super mailboxes in Tantallon, Timberlea and Hubley over the weekend.
Preliminary investigation determined unknown person(s) forced their way into several mailboxes located in a number of areas within Tantallon RCMP’s patrol area. In all cases, criminals used prying tools to break into the boxes and steal the contents of those containing parcels. The areas affected are: Deerwood Lane at Grebe Ave, Timberlea, Big Hubley Lake Rd. in Hubley and Rockcliffe Cres. at Pinetree Cress., Hammonds Plains. These crimes are believed to have occurred sometime overnight Thursday, October 1 into Friday, October 2, 2015.
