Police are investigating an indecent act that occurred in Dartmouth earlier this week.

At approximately 3:40 p.m. on January 4, police received a report of an incident that had occurred approximately an hour earlier where a man entered the Salvation Army store at 125 Main Street, exposed himself to the employee and then left the area on foot.

The suspect is described as a white man, 20 to 30 years old, approximately 5’9” tall with a slim build and wearing baggy light blue jeans and a blue hat.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth earlier today.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. police responded to a robbery in the 600 block of Windmill Road in Dartmouth. Two suspects approached the victim, who was sitting in his vehicle; produced a firearm and demanded his property. The suspects fled in a vehicle; the victim was not physically injured.

Patrol officers located the suspect’s vehicle shortly after in the 0-100 block of Courtney Road in Dartmouth. Police cordoned the area and arrested a man and a woman inside a residence without incident. Police have since cleared the area and re-opened the roads to traffic.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth yesterday morning.

At approximately 6:40 a.m. police responded to a robbery in the area of the pedestrian walkway on the Macdonald Bridge. Three youths approached a woman, demanded her property then fled the area on foot empty-handed. The woman was not physically injured.

The first suspect is described as a white male, in his mid to late teens, very small in stature, dressed in a black jacket and black pants. The second suspect is described as a female in her mid to late teens, approximately 5’8″ tall, with dark hair and wearing a black jacket, grey hooded sweatshirt underneath and dark pants. The third suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late teens, wearing a blue jacket and dark pants.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Halifax early this morning.

At approximately 2:30 a.m. police responded to a robbery at the Circle K convenience store at 2499 Robie Street. A man came into the store, demanded money and then fled the area on foot with an amount of cash.

The suspect is described as white, approximately 6’ tall with a medium build and wearing a grey jacket and black pants.

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth earlier this week.

On January 1 at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a robbery that had just occurred in the 0-100 block of Portland Street in Dartmouth. A man approached a woman who was at a bank machine, assaulted her and took her property. He then fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man in his thirties, approximately 5’10” tall with a thin build and wearing a black three-quarter length felt coat, a gray hooded sweater and a gray toque.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. Police are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred in Halifax early this morning.

At approximately 2 a.m. police and Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency responded to a fire at the exterior of a building in the 3300 block of Desmond Avenue. Firefighters extinguished the fire and there were no reported injuries.

December 30, 2022, Plymouth, Nova Scotia… This Sunday, January 1, will mark two years since Zachery Lefave disappeared.

On January 1, 2021, at approximately 12:15 a.m., 21-year-old Zachery Lefave of Hebron was last seen walking on Hwy. 334 in Plymouth. At the time, he was talking on the phone.

Zachery is described as white, 5-foot-9 and 175 pounds, with brown facial hair, brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a hat, plaid shirt and boxer shorts.

Over the last two years, investigators have followed up on numerous tips, and more information continues to come in. At this time, the investigative team is asking specifically for information from anyone who may have picked up a man after 12 a.m. on January 1, 2021 near Hattie Lane and Hwy 334.

December 29, 2022, Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia… On December 24, Annapolis District RCMP received a report of vandalism at a business on Main Street in Lawrencetown.

RCMP officers learned that a Pride flag located on the front of the business was torn up during the previous night and that the property has been the target of similar acts of vandalism over the past month. 

At this time, the offences are being investigated as mischief; however, our investigators are mindful that these incidents may amount to hate crime. The investigation is ongoing.

Police are on scene of a shooting in Dartmouth that occurred earlier this afternoon.

At approximately 1:45 p.m. officers responded to a report of an injured man in the area of Cutler Avenue near Jim Connors Avenue. Officers located a man who had a been shot. The man had been driving in the area and was shot by suspect(s) driving another vehicle. The man has been taken to hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is in the early stages, however, at this time investigators believe the incident was not a random act.
