MISCHIEF

Crime Stoppers and Antigonish County RCMP are investigating an incident that occurred during the evening of October 30th, where someone cut a line to an oil tank at 78 Arbor Drive resulting in oil spillage causing extensive damage and clean up. It is believed the act occurred sometime 8:30 – 9:30 pm. Antigonish Fire Department, the local Emergency Measures Organization and the Department of Environment all attended the scene.

Theft in Annapolis Royal

Crime Stoppers and Annapolis Royal Police Department are asking for the public’s help in solving a theft which occurred in Annapolis Royal Nova Scotia.

Sometime during the month of August 2014 there was a theft at the Annapolis West Education Center while renovations were going on.

The following items were taken.

A CHEX Air Hockey table, Concept 2 Rowing Machine, a number of stools.

Three Crimes Cumberland County

October 18th – Blue Sea Provincial Park, Malagash Point Malagash NS; broken into 4 times since August 2014.  Shovels, rakes, fuel and a lawn tracyor battery were taken.

October 20th – Ruston Beach Provincial Park, Marshvilee, NS, break and enter.

October 20th – Fox Harbour Provincial Park, North Wallace NS; Locks cut to gain entry to a small shed.

Theft of ATV

Crime Stoppers and Oxford Detachment of the RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a theft which took place in Collingwood Cumberland Co NS.

Sometime between October 10th 2014 and October 12th 2014 a red Yamaha Grizzly 660 was stolen from a Wyvern Road home.  The ATV was parked near a shed on the property.

Suspicious Fire

Crime Stoppers and Amherst RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a suspicious fire which occurred in Joggins NS.

Sometime between 11 pm on October 2nd and the early am of October 3rd  2014an unoccupied home on the Hardscrabble Road burnt to the ground.  The house did not have an power at the time and was abandoned. There was little that remained of the home due to the fire. The fire is under investigation and considered suspiciouce.

School Crimes

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving three incidents at schools in Lower Sackville Nova Scotia.

Date of Loss: March 30, 2014

Sackville Heights Junior High School located at 956 Sackville Drive, Middle Sackville, sustained damage on Saturday, March 30, 2014 as a result of vandals smashing ten windows at the back of the school.  Total damage for this incident was approximately $9,000.00.

Date of Loss:  April 5, 2014

Sackville Heights Junior High School located at 956 Sackville Drive, Middle Sackville, sustained damage on Saturday, April 5, 2014 as a result of vandals smashing two windows at the back of the building.  This was the second occurrence in 2 weeks at the school.  Total damage for this incident was approximately $3,000.00.

Date of Loss:  October 18, 2014

Sackville High School located at 1 Kingfisher Way, Lower Sackville, sustained damage on Saturday, October 18, 2014 as a result of vandals smashing 17 windows at the back of the school building.  Total damages are not known at this time.  Investigation is on-going.

Weapons Offence

Crime Stoppers an Pictou County RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in solving a firearm related offense.

On 14-10-18 at approx. 0815 hours in Millsville, NS a dog ran into the woods near a residence, the dog was heard to yelp, and then a gunshot sounded.

The owner of the dog went to look for the dog and observed a vehicle leaving the area very quickly, nearly striking her on the road, a bright blue, four door pickup truck, possibly a Dodge, with a lift kit.

The driver was a male approximately 30 – 35 years old, scruffy beard, round face, with a camo jacket.  There was a long gun, unknown if rifle or shotgun, sticking out the driver’s window.

Break Enter & Theft

Crime stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a break enter and theft which happened in Mount Pleasant Cumberland County Nova Scotia.

Sometime between June 28 and June 30, 2014 just outside of Oxford Nova Scotia, a Mount Pleasant home was broken into.  Several firearms and jewellery was taken which included a mixed set of rings, bracelets and necklaces plus, one Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun, an antique Savage lever action rifle, a Remington 788 Bolt Action Rifle, a Lee-Enfield Sporter rifle and a Diana Air Rifle.

Mischief ( Sheet Harbour )

Crime Stoppers and Sheet Harbour RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a mischief case.

During the evening of August 21st and early morning of August 22nd, the windshield of a truck was damaged while it was parked in the owner’s driveway on Church Point Road. The file remains under investigation.
