On Monday February 1, 2015 Ingonish Beach RCMP Detachment responded to a mischief complaint. It was determined that some time during the overnight hours between January 31, 2015 and February 1, 2015 unknown suspect(s) damaged some vehicles in the Bay St. Lawrence area.  Property damage is estimated at approximately $2000.

Break Enter & Theft Durham NS

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a break, enter and theft of a large number of tools worth thousands dollars were taken from a new home construction site.  During the evening/night hours of January 18th unknown suspects entered a residence being constructed on the Sylvester Road in Durham, NS.

A trailer located next to the residence was entered when two of the three locks were broken by twisting the shackle of the lock until it snapped.  Numerous tools from inside the trailer were taken, including:

  • spiker, Bostich, orange, $600, spiker, Haussman, black, $400, rafter nailer, Prime, black, $450, three drills, cordless, Dewalt, yellow and black, $150 each
  • three skill saws, Dewalt, yellow and black, $150 each, three hose reels and air compressor hoses, 100 feet in length each, $100 each
  • reciprocating saw, Porter Cable, grey and black, cordless, $150, 24 foot extension ladder, aluminum, $400, 32 foot extension ladder, aluminum, $500
  • cap nailer, Bostich, orange and black, $600, btwo brad nailers, Porter Cable, grey and black, with cases, $250 each, compressor, Rolair, green, $2,000

Also stolen from outside the residence was a large number of pieces of staging of various lengths, including those in excess of 16 feet.

There were double wide tire impressions in the mud outside the residence indicating a large trailer was used in the theft.

There have also been other large scale thefts involving generators, large quantities of gasoline, atv tires and plow all occurring in the Pictou West area.

Suspicious Fire

 

Crime Stoppers and Amherst RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a suspicious fire which occurred in Joggins NS

Sometime between 11 pm on October 2nd and the early am of October 3rd 2014 an unoccupied home on Hardscrabble Road in Joggins burnt to the ground. The house did not have power at the time and had been abandoned. There was little that remained of the home due to the fire. The fire is under investigation and considered suspicious.

Theft of ATV

Crime Stoppers and Oxford RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a case of theft which happen in Collingwood Cumberland Co NS

Sometime between October 10th and October 12th 2014 a red 2005 Yamaha Grizzly 660 was stolen from a Wyvern Road home in Collingwood Cumberland Co.  The ATV was parked near a shed on the property. Unknown suspects illegally entered onto the property and then stole the ATV.

Break & Enters Pictou Co

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving two break enter and theft cases which occurred in Pictou County NS

During the overnight hours of January 8, 2015 unknown person(s) stole a King Generator valued at $500 and approximately 300 litres of fuel from an N.R. Kenney Logging operation on Back Road, Brookland, Nova Scotia.  The unknown suspects broke the lock off of a metal housing unit and removed a generator which had been bolted down and then pumped off the fuel.

During the overnight hours of January 8, 2015 unknown person(s) entered the Scott Weeks quarry at the head of Six Mile Brook Road, Six Mile Brook (or Scotsburn), NS.  Suspects broke into the weight scale house and stole two jerry cans of gasoline and then cut a lock and entered a tool storage area in a sea can, nothing appears missing.  Also stolen was approximately 700 litres in bulk fuel.

Crime Stoppers and Parrsboro RCMP are asking for the public’s help in solving a break enter and theft.

Sometime between July 25th and September 14th 2014 unknown suspects broke into a Lower Five Islands home. Suspect(s) stole two Craftsman gas lawn trimmers (one a little older than the other), an Evinrude 1.5 hp engine and three fishing rods. The total value of the theft is more than one thousand dollars.

Break & Enter Joggins NS

THE AMHERST DETACHMENT OF THE R.C.M.P. (902-667-3859) IS REQUESTING THE PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE IN SOLVING THIS CRIME:

Sometime between December 29th 2014 and January 1st 2015, a camp off of the Shulie Road near Joggins N.S. was broken into. The break and enter started with the suspect(s) shooting the lock off the gate and entering the property. RCMP Officers on site noted bullet holes in the gate locking system. While on property, the suspect(s) further broke into the camp and stole a Champion 3000W generator, a Craftsman Mitre Saw and a Jobmate hatchet.

Property Damage

December 12, 2014, Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia . . . Sheet Harbour RCMP investigate a broken window of the school in Mosher River.

Sometime between November 15th and November 18th, 2014 unknown person(s) smashed an exterior window of the Eastern Shore Consolidated School in Mosher River.

Break and Enters

December 12, 2014, Sheet Harbour, Nova Scotia . . . Sheet Harbour RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance for information regarding a rash of Break Enter and Theft.

Sometime between Nov 8th to the 11th, 2014, three break & enters occurred within the Moser River area. The McMann House Museum Genealogy Centre was broken into where a black power box was stolen. The Moser River Park Hall and the Moser River Independent Baptist Church were also broken into.  All three places are located in the same area.
