Police investigate theft from motor vehicle

Police are investigating a theft from a motor vehicle that occurred in Dartmouth earlier this week.

A motor vehicle that was parked in the 300 block of Windmill Road was broken in to sometime between the evening of October 13 or early morning of October 14. Property was stolen from the vehicle including duty equipment and body armour belonging to an employee of the Nova Scotia Sheriff’s Service.

Police investigate sexual assault

Halifax Regional Police is investigating a sexual assault that occurred earlier this week in Halifax.

On October 11 at approximately 11:45 p.m. a woman flagged down a passing motorist on Kearney Lake Road and asked for a drive as her vehicle had broken down. The woman sexually assaulted the female driver during the drive.  When the vehicle stopped, the woman took the driver’s cell phone and fled on foot.

The suspect is described as white, in her late thirties, approximately 5’4” tall, 130 lbs., with medium- length black hair and a flower tattoo on her left hand. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a dark jacket and black pants.

Police investigate robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred this weekend in Dartmouth.

On October 9 at a approximately 1:25 a.m. police responded to a robbery that had just occurred at the Shell gas station located at 130 Main Street. A man entered the store, threatened the employee and demanded cash. The suspect took a quantity of cash and fled on foot. The employee was not physically injured.

The suspect is described as white, in his thirties, approximately 5’5″ tall with a thin build. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black face mask, green/beige pants, and blue Adidas shoes.

Police investigate robbery

At approximately 02:35 a.m. hours, a male suspect entered the Needs Convenience store located at 33 Herring Cove Road, in Halifax. The suspect went behind the counter and began to fill a bag with packages of cigarettes and demanded the clerk give him money from the till. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount cigarettes, and money. There were no injuries to staff.

Patrol officers conducted an extensive search and preliminary investigation, but the suspect has not been located at this time.

The suspect is described as a white male, 25-35 years of age, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” in height, 150 to 175 lbs, short dark hair, wearing a dark coloured checkered jacket, dark pants and grey sneakers.

Police investigate robbery

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in Dartmouth early this morning.

At approximately 4:30 a.m. police responded to a robbery at the Circle K and Irving gas station located at 219 Pleasant Street. A man armed with a knife came into the store and demanded money and cigarettes. The man took a quantity of both and then fled the area on foot.

The suspect is described as white, approximately 5’8” tall, 200 lbs., 35-45 years of age and was clean shaven. At the time the man was wearing a black hooded jacket, dark grey track pants, black sneakers and white gloves.

Police investigate break and enter

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a break and enter that occurred in Halifax yesterday.

At approximately 2 a.m. police responded to a report of a break and enter that had occurred at Ash Jewelry located at 6257 Quinpool Road. A man smashed a window in the store, entered the business and took a quantity of jewelry. He then fled the area on foot.

The man is described as white with a tall, thin build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hat, black mask, black hooded sweatshirt with a design on it, black t-shirt, black pants and grey and white high-top sneakers. He was also wearing a grey and red glove on his right hand.

On October 2 at approximately 8:30 p.m. a man approached a woman who was not known to him and touched her in a sexual manner. The incident occurred at Albro Lake Beach.

The man is described as white, approximately 5’ 6” tall, medium build with short dark hair and a full beard. He was wearing a blue jean jacket and blue jeans.

Police investigate sexual assault

On October 3 between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. a man exited a residence in the 1200 to 1300 block of Robie Street and approached a woman, who was not known to him, who was walking on the sidewalk. He pulled her to an area on the side of the residence and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as white, 25 to 30 years old with crew cut brown hair and a full brown or black beard. He was wearing a red flannel jacket.

Investigators would like to speak with a man who potentially witnessed the incident and yelled at the suspect.

RCMP investigating report of indecent act

October 4, 2021, Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia… Halifax District RCMP is investigating a report of an indecent act that occurred yesterday on Conrad Beach in Lawrencetown.

At approximately 11:40 a.m. on October 3, RCMP responded to a report of a person exposing themselves on Conrad Beach near Lawrencetown Rd. The person is described as a white man, 20s to 30s, wearing an orange shirt, jeans and a ball cap.

Police investigate a robbery in Halifax overnight.

At 10:45 P.M on Friday October 1, 2021, police responded to the Esso Gas Bar located at 7151 Chebucto Road in Halifax for a reported Robbery.

Shortly after the call was placed, police arrived and located the night clerk who advised that a man had entered the store, indicated he had a weapon and demanded cigarettes. No weapons were seen. An undisclosed amount of cigarettes were stolen as well as a sum of cash. The cash was located nearby during the investigation.

The suspect was described as a white man, 5’9”, thin build, short hair, wearing black sweat pants and black hoodie with “Real Tree” logo written on the chest in white, red sneakers with white soles.

Police patrol members and a K-9 dog were deployed but the suspect was not located.
