Sometime between the night of June 17 at 8:30 PM and June 18 at 7:30 AM  person or persons did graffiti to signs at the Mount Olivet Cemetery, there was desecration of several of the religious monuments and marble statues.

There were Four (4) large white marble statues which were vandalized. The
first being a marble statue of Jesus Christ on a Cross which was approximately
9 feet tall when measured. Black Spray paint was used to Spray the face Black,
a invereted cross was placed on the stomach area and the initials KY was
sprayed on the Cross. Black paint was also sprayed on the groin area and the
lettering GROSS was on the back of the Cross in large letters.

A large white marble statue measuring approximately 68″ high was spray painted
with the word SIN on the Chest Area, The face was sprayed black and the word
“PREY” (sic) was at the feet area.

The next White marble statue that of a Kneeling figure approximately 44″ tall
was spray painted in black with the Word SIN on the chest area the face was
sprayed black and the word IDOL was sprayed near the feet.

The last statue which is also made of white marble and is approximately 68″
tall was spray painted in black with the word SIN on the chest area as well the
face was also spray painted in black and the word IDOL was also spray painted
at the feet.

Behind the statues very large lettering of the Anarchy
sympbol (and A with a line through the middle) spray painted in black on the
cement. As well as a crude drawing of what appears to be a hand giving with
one finger extended.

Part of the Dark stone monument had a white cross lightly spray painted in
black as well as th Copper round decorations were painted with black. A white
spray of paint was also observed.

Two signs for the Grave yard were painted with and Anarchy Symbol and the
letters LOL.

June 22, 2018, North Preston, Nova Scotia… At 8:57 p.m. last evening, Halifax District RCMP responded to a 911 call of multiple shots being fired towards a home on Downey Road in North Preston. No one was injured during the incident. Reports indicate a small black car was seen leaving the area at the time of the incident.

RCMP Police Dog Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Section assisted with collecting evidence at the scene last evening. The investigation is ongoing, being led by the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division.

June 22, 2018, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia … Halifax District RCMP is asking for public assistance with identifying the persons responsible for the vandalism that occurred at a church on Sackville Dr. in Lower Sackville early Wednesday morning.

Sometime between 12:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m., two suspects were observed on a security camera at a church in the 200 block of Sackville Dr., using spray foam on doors and spray paint on exterior the church. Derogatory comments and property damage were caused to the church

“This is not art, this is a poor excuse for attention,” say’s Cpl. Dal Hutchinson, Halifax District RCMP. “There are more appropriate ways to express yourself, this is not one of them.”

June 23, 2018, Queensland, Nova Scotia… Halifax District RCMP is investigating the theft of two generators that were stolen from a worksite between 7 p.m. on June 22 and 6 a.m. on June 23. This occurred on Conrads Rd. in Queensland where the generators were being used to repair the road which suffered damage following a storm earlier this year. Both generators were heavily secured with chain at the time of their theft.

The two 2000 watts Honda generators are described as red and black in colour, with Hertz Rental stickers on the side. They were both secured at either end of the road construction.

Police Issue Warning to Burnside Business Owners & Operators

Halifax Regional Police is advising business owners and operators in the Burnside Business Park that there has been a recent increase in break & enters and thefts in the area.

Since June 5, police have received seven reports involving break & enters and/or thefts from businesses in the Burnside area. The incidents have occurred in the overnight hours and primarily on the weekends. The suspects have broken into either locked containers or motor vehicles. Stolen items include a variety of tools and tires.

Police have increased patrols in the area and Burnside Watch is in place, however, police encourage business owners and operators to be extra vigilant. It’s recommended that you make note of the serial number on tools and take a picture of the item to help identify it should it be recovered.

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred early Sunday morning in Halifax.

At 12:05 am Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a report of a robbery at Southgate Drive and Ravines Drive in Bedford. Three male suspects approached another vehicle with three males inside and demanded money and cell phones. One suspect had a knife, another suspect had a baseball bat. The three suspects fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money and personal belongings in their own vehicle.

Suspect #1 is described as a white male, with a tattoo on his face, carrying the knife.

Suspect #2 is described as a white male, grey hoodie, blue jeans.

Suspect #3 is described as a white male, camo hoodie, carrying a baseball bat.
