Lunenburg District RCMP looking to identify man involved in attempted robbery in Cookville

September 11, 2025, Cookville, Nova Scotia… Lunenburg District RCMP is requesting assistance from the public for help in identifying a man involved in a robbery in Cookville. 

On September 8, at approximately 9:08 p.m., RCMP officers responded to a report of a robbery at a business on Pine Grove Rd. 

Through the investigation, RCMP officers learned that a man had attempted to exit the business with unpaid merchandise, setting off the door alarm.  Bystanders attempted to stop the man which resulted in a physical struggle.  The man then struck one of the bystanders, causing minor injuries before fleeing on foot.  

At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing a white, blue and red plaid, button-up shirt, a black ballcap with a red and white design, blue jeans, and grey and white sneakers. Witnesses noted that he walked with a noticeable limp and used a walking cane which he left behind.
