Lunenburg District RCMP seek information from the public in relation to ATM theft

August 8, 2025, Hubbards, Nova Scotia… Lunenburg District RCMP is seeking information from the public about the theft of an ATM in Hubbards.

On August 6 at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of a theft at a business on Hwy. 329. Officers learned that a blue SUV backed up to the doors of the store and a person removed the machine from the lobby. There was significant damage to the front of the building in addition to the theft.

Surveillance video shows a tall, slender man wearing a trench coat, a balaclava, and gloves removing the ATM using a newer model Nissan Rogue SUV.

Officers appreciate that several people contacted police to provide information related to the theft. These calls have helped investigators recover parts of the ATM along the sides of roads around Hubbards. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone who may have information about the theft is asked to contact Lunenburg District RCMP at 902-275-3583. This includes anyone with dashcam footage or surveillance video of the area around the time of the theft and witnesses who have not yet spoken with police.
