Multiple thefts from unlocked vehicles reported in Halifax RCMP area

August 12, 2020, Halifax Regional Municipality, Nova Scotia… Multiple reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles were reported in Cole Harbour, Sackville and Tantallon, this morning.

Halifax District RCMP received more than 10 call from victims reporting that their unlocked vehicle was rummaged through overnight. One locked vehicle had its window broken due to valuables in plain sight.

RCMP wants to remind residents that if they want to protect themselves against theft from their vehicles, the first step to preventing that is to lock their vehicles, and remove anything of value.
