Police investigate theft of firearms

Police are investigating the theft of a number of firearms and ammunition from a residence in Halifax this weekend.

At approximately 11:10 p.m. on November 16 officers responded to a report of a not in progress break and enter at a residence in the area of 0-100 block of Leiblin Drive of Halifax. The home owners were away and arrived home to find their residence had been broken into sometime between November 15 and 16.  Two pistols, a shotgun, an airsoft pistol, a quantity of ammunition and personal cheques were all stolen from the residence. The firearms were all owned and stored legally.
