NOTICE FROM FISHERIES & OCEANS

Fisheries and Oceans Canada is releasing hundreds of wild, endangered inner Bay of Fundy Atlantic Salmon in support of the Species at Risk program this year.  Salmon are an iconic part of Nova Scotia’s cultural and natural heritage. Let’s protect and preserve this heritage for all future generations.

Together with Crime Stoppers, you can help ensure the protection of Atlantic salmon during critical periods of their life cycle. If you see someone catching salmon, or interfering with the natural habitat or migration of salmon that are part of the inner Bay of Fundy salmon population, contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (1-800-222-8477), texting TIP212 + your message to ‘CRIMES’ (274637), or by Secure Web Tips at https://crimestoppers.ns.ca/

We want your information, not your name.  Calls to Crime Stoppers are not taped or traced and if the tip leads to an arrest and charges, callers qualify for a cash reward from $50 -$2000.
