Crime Stoppers and Amherst RCMP are asking for the public help in solving a hit and run motor vehicle accident that happened in Cumberland Co, NS

 On Thursday, June 30th, 2016 a resident of River Hebert was driving from Amherst back to River Hebert on Highway 242. At about 10:30 pm or 11:00 pm the resident/victim was struck by another vehicle that failed to remain at the scene of the accident. The on-coming vehicle that caused this collision on Highway 242 had side swiped the entire driver’s side of the car causing the driver’s side window to smash with glass spilling out all over the interior of the victim vehicle.

Evidence at the scene indicates the suspect vehicle may be a red or maroon Honda Accord in the year to be about 2002. The suspect vehicle would have damage along the driver’s side including a missing driver’s side mirror.

At the time of this release, the suspect vehicle may have had body work and been and/or have been painted.
