PARKS CANADA ASKS FOR PUBLIC’S HELP
HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA – Parks Canada is asking the public to provide information on a campground vandalized inside Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site.
On November 14th or early morning November 15th 2010, at Kejimkujik NP and NHS, one or more persons vandalised the Jim Charles Group Campground picnic shelter and surrounding area and a porcupine was illegally hunted and killed.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving the following case of theft
Barrington RCMP received a report that 4 Continental Touring P195 60R15 wheels, rims and lugnuts were stolen off a 2010 Cobalt over the weekend from a local car dealership situated on Oak Park Road in Barrington, Shelburne County, Nova Scotia. Estimated value of theft: $1,200.00.

Crime Stoppers is requesting the public’s assistance in solving the following break and enter.
Between May 28th, 2010 and June 11, 2010, a break and enter occurred to a shed at a secluded camp located in the community of Mooseland, NS.
. Stolen items include the following:
- 3 1/2 horse power Johnson outboard motor, S/N: J3RSNF
- Minkota electric outboard motor(no further description or S/N)
- Mastercraft 5 piece tool kit, blue in colour S/N: G0320
- Skeetervas bug zapper, S/N: 028548
- Mastercraft sliding compound miter saw, S/N: W0703504
- Makita skill saw (no further description given)
- whipper snipper/brush cutter (no further description given)
- Still Chainsaw, Model #: 270
It is also important to note that prior to the break and enter, the camp owners were visited by a white male, 18-20 years old, dark complected, clean cut, driving a mid sized vehicle (possibly a Ford Focus or Taurus) stating that he had seen a black lab on the road and wondered if it belong to them. The camp owners had not seen this young man before and noted that the shed was opened at that time.

Canada is hosting the upcoming G8 and G20 meetings. The G8 meetings will be taking place on June 25th and 26th in Huntsville, Ontario which is about an hours drive North of Toronto. The G20 meetings will be taking place June 26th and 27th in Toronto, Ontario. As you can appreciate the security requirements for these meetings are very significant in order to ensure the participants are kept safe and that nothing untoward happens in either location.
Crime Stoppers International and its world wide programs will participate by utilizing its world wide tip taking network to receive any information from the public relevant to the safety and security of these two meetings. The international network is comprised of over 1200 programs in over 27 Countries that will be available to receive tips.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in solving the following theft.
Between April 30, 2010 at 12:00pm and May 03, 2010 at 02:00am numerous items were stolen from a service truck located on a secluded pulping wood lot on Sam’s Lake Road, Sheet Harbour, NS.
Suspects took numerous items including an industrial size Bobcat Welder, Oregon Chain sharpener and a grinder. Total value of all the items taken was estimated at approximately $5500.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in solving a case of a suspicious fire which occurred sometime between March 28, 2010 and April 10, 2010 in the Sheet Harbour area of Nova Scotia.
A cottage located off of Fraser Lake Road, Highway 224 was totally destroyed.
The area is only accessible by ATV or truck, the cottage was only accessible by foot.

Feb 26th, 2010 5:30am Rice 13th Floor
Feb 26th, 2010 7:03am Rice 14th Floor
Description: Fire alarms occurred in each of the above instances due to paper being lit on fire and activating smoke detectors in the hallway. In the incident on the 14th floor of Rice the paper was placed on a light fixture in the hallway, causing it to catch on fire.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving a case of break enter and theft which occurred in Yarmouth County Nova Scotia
On Wednesday, December 16th, 2009 between 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM, someone entered a residence on the Canaan Road in Canaan, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. A black 50 inch Panasonic plasma television as well as a sum of cash was taken from the home.

Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving two cases of theft which occurred at the Rice Building at Saint Mary’s University.
The first theft took place sometime between 3 pm October 23 and 4 am October 24, 2009 on the 4th floor.
Taken was a Toshiba Laptop, gray with black and white, Toshiba Compaq laptop, black outside with a shiny silver bottom on key board.
The second occurred on October 25, 2009 on the 12th floor.
Taken was an Accer laptop computer with small stars at back of screen.
